**Repeated A.M. Routes

(Pick up times at Regular Bus Stops)

To calculate your midday pick up time,

subtract your regular A.M. route travel time to IHS from 12:00 P.M.

Example #1: If it normally takes 40 minutes to get to IHS on your regular morning bus, subtract 40 minutes from 12:00 P.M. and get 11:20 A.M. The midday bus will pick you up at your normal bus stop at approximately 11:20 A.M.

Example #2: If it normally takes 23 minutes to get to IHS your regular morning bus, subtract 23 minutes from 12:00 P.M. and get 11:37 A.M.

The midday bus will pick you up at your normal bus stop at approximately 11:37 A.M.

Be sure to be out at your bus stop at least FIVE minutes early!

All families are invited to join us at the LACS EIGHTH GRADE PROMOTION CEREMONY.  Students’ Eighth Grade Challenge Projects will be on display in the gym beginning at 5:00 pm, and after the ceremony as well.  The ceremony will be held in our amphitheater at 6:00 pm.  Please feel free to bring lawn chairs and blankets if you prefer them to the amphitheater seating.

Students need to come to the school with their Challenge projects (and folders) to set them up on display in the gym the day of the ceremony (Tuesday) anytime between 12:00 pm and 3:00 pm.  Staff will be on hand to help.

In case of rain, the ceremony will be moved to the gym, and projects will be on display in designated classrooms.

Come help us celebrate the end of the year by attending the 9th Grade Latin American/African Studies Annual Fair Trade Breakfast.  This festive and informative event will be held on Tuesday, June 15 from 9:30-11:00 in the South English Room.   Students will be displaying their research about fair trade products and related issues.  You can sample coffee, bananas, chocolate and other delicious goodies.  Please join us!

Debrief June 2 event, including two teams that met, Communication & Orientation and suggestions that were made (e.g., parent/caregiver dialogues with teachers at 3 or 4 regular staff meetings a year, parent night with a panel of students focusing on a theme, organizer books from Parents group for incoming students, etc)

Plan next steps (orientation, teams, summer and fall schedule, etc.)

For parents/guardians of children with Asperger’s Syndrome, or on the Autism Spectrum or with related characteristics or needs.  Students are invited to participate as well. 

Please join us for a second casual evening of conversation and sharing at LACS.   The conversation can be guided by your needs.  Please call or email Beth (below) if you have questions or topics you would like to discuss.   Possible topics:

·      Share resources – We will bring some resources and you can feel free to bring any of your own to share.  
Share experiences.
Discuss resources you might want/need to support your child.
Give feedback regarding goals for your child at LACS or structures you would like to see in place for your child.
Ask questions about your child’s program at LACS.
Plan potential future meetings.
