Share appreciation for the staff, school, and community as we reflect on the year and look ahead to the future.

Library Books Due June 4

The final due date for all LACS library books this year is Friday, June 4th, about a week earlier than most years. We’ve set this date to allow us time to prepare for the major library automation system changeover that is set for the week following.  Thanks in advance for helping us get everything back so that we can avoid as many conversion headaches as possible.

Drivers’ Education

Our students are eligible to participate in the Driver’s Education program that is offered.  Families are responsible for the $95 cost.  I am attaching the description sheet.  I do not yet have the application forms, but you or your student should let me know if you are interested in applying and I will get you one.  All applications must be turned in by June 2 (not the June 4 date on the info sheet) to enable me to process them in a timely way.  Students must have a driver’s permit before the start of the classes and can not miss any sessions for any reason.

Feel free to call me with questions.

LACS Middle School Students Have School on Tuesday, May 11

As is the case every year, LACS middle school students will have school during the district’s State ELA test scoring day this Tuesday, May 11th. While we will have some of our staff participating in the scoring session, the fact that most of our teaching staff teaches at both the middle and high school level so need to be available to teach that day and so we are not able to have all staff scoring exams. The benefit for our students is that they do not lose a day of instruction for this purpose.
